Year 4 Football Tournament
Our Y4 footballers put on a great display in today’s tournament and came third. Well done to all the boys who took part.
Foodbank Donation

Children’s University Assembly
Laura from Sefton CU came to our school today to talk to all our children. This was a fantastic incentive to encourage them all to learn new skills and try different activities.
Footgolf Competition
Some of our Y5 children took part in a Footgolf competition; it combines the physical aspects of soccer with the strategic thinking required in golf, they all had lots of fun.
Summer Reading Challenge
Congratulations to everyone who completed the Summer Reading Challenge over the summer holidays. Thank you to staff from Sefton Libraries for coming in to present certificates. We also won the trophy for having the most readers in Netherton!
National Fitness Day
Today is National Fitness Day. Mr. Phillips led a whole school fitness session 10 for 10 - ten minutes of exercise at 10am. We all felt the benefit of a burst of exercise.
Season of Creation
It’s the Season Of Creation so we have been out picking litter to improve our environment.
Holy Family Visit – Y6
Year 6 had an amazing day at Holy Family High School, they tried out lots of new fun activities, and they loved them all. A big thank you to all the teachers who helped to make the day a fun one.
Eco Team Project
Our school Eco Team are collecting devices, phones, computer tablets, jewellery, cameras, watches etc. CAFOD can turn these into cash to help their projects. Our recycling point is in school.
Helping Others
One of our pupils was so moved by the plight of homeless people during the cold weather that he decided to collect and distribute blankets. His actions will make a big difference for these people. What a compassionate, caring boy!
Dodgeball Tournament
Year 5 took part in a dodgeball tournament at The Hawthorne’s; they played really well and were great representatives for our school, showing outstanding behaviour and amazing sportsmanship.
